Research
Most of the research we have been carrying for the last ten
years are directly or indirectly related to the physics of a
gas discharge in plasma display panels (PDP). This includes
numerical and analytical investigations of different kind of
plasma display cell, or more fundamental issues like effective
secondary electron emission coefficient. We were first to
develop and use 3D fluid code for investigation of PDP
discharge. Recently we developed 3D PIC/Monte-Carlo code that
enabled us to investigate such features of a PDP discharge as
anode striations, efficiency of the discharge, jitter, and
others. The ability of this code are not limited to the PDPs , and we use it for more general problems
too.
